1. Multiple sites
Care is frequently delivered across multiple, smaller sites of 3 to 10 beds. For a manager or business owner, this can make accurate and compliant record-keeping challenging.
Electronic MAR includes features such as a real-time overview, reporting via alerts to site mobile devices, emails to management levels and dashboard reporting, so you always have a clear view of whether the sites you are responsible for are up-to-date with medication.
Customers often configure management alert emails for 2 hours after medication is due. You may be responsible for the administration of 400 prescription medications every day, 365 days a year. 2. Controlled drugs
Controlled drugs not being signed for reliably is a common problem. Electronic MAR can be configured so that 2 signatures are always required on a per-medication basis, so you know your medication records will be compliant.
3. PRN (as required) medications
One of the most frequent reasons providers are “pinged” by the CQC during inspections is the failure to record a reason for giving or follow-up note for PRN medications. Our system ensures that at the time of recording 2 signatures (in the form of username and secure password) are entered before your care staff can move on – ensuring compliance.
4. Staffing
Supported Living providers often juggle a workforce that includes long-term staff, short-term contractors, and agency workers, all of whom require different levels of access to different sites and regions.
Electronic MAR is designed to handle lots of sites and types of access requirements, meaning you can set up short term, limited access for temporary staff as required. We also do not set a limit on the number of staff you can have on the system; our per Service User pricing model means you don’t pay extra and get charged for having lots of staff.
